Air Canada Service: What you Need to Know

Starting June 15, 2026, Air Canada passengers can travel to and from Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport (YZR) using aluxury motorcoach service operated by Landline. This motorcoach connects Sarnia directly to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), where passengerscontinue on their Air Canada flights to destinations across Canada and around the world.

This bus connection is treated just like a connecting flight. You book it, check in, and travel on one single Air Canada itinerary.

How the Service Works

  • You book your trip on aircanada.com the same way you would any flight.
  • Choose Sarnia (YZR) as your starting point or destination.
  • The Landline motorcoach appears automatically as a connection through Toronto Pearson (YYZ).
  • There is no extra cost for the motorcoach when it’s part of an eligible Air Canada booking.

What to Expect When You Leave from Sarnia

  • You check in inside the Sarnia airport terminal.
  • You can:
       
    • Check your bags
    •  
    • Get boarding passes for all flights
    •  
    • Tag your luggage through to your final destination

After check-in, you board the motorcoach outside the terminal. The motorcoach is branded by Air Canada and includes: an onboard restroom, comfortable 2×1 leather seating, extra legroom, free high-speed Wi‑Fi, tray tables, and power outlets at every seat.

When you arrive at Toronto Pearson, you:

  • Go directly to self-service bag drop
  • Clear security
  • Continue to your connecting flight

If there is a delay with the bus or your flight, you receive the same protections as any other Air Canada passenger.

Schedule

The service runs twice daily in both directions and is timed to connect with Air Canada’s busiest flight periods.

Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior tothe departure time to permit time for check-in. Each trip includes a 10-minute stop at Waterloo Airport (YKF). Sarnia passengers stay on the bus during this stop.

Yes.

  • If your flight is after June 15, 2026, call Air Canada Reservations (1‑888‑247‑2262).
  • Call by April 30 to add the Sarnia motorcoach at no extra cost.

Can I book just the bus without a flight?

No. The Landline bus is only available as a connection to an eligible Air Canada flight.

  • Available for Air Canada, Air Canada Vacations, and some Star Alliance bookings made through aircanada.com.
  • If not booked directly through aircanada.com, eligible passengers may buy a bus seat at ca.landline.com for $49.

You may have to show proof of your airline booking when boarding.

Is parking available at the Sarnia airport?

Yes.
Parking is free for customers using the Landline service for up to 2 weeks.

How do I get to the Sarnia airport if I don’t drive?

  • Sarnia Transit Route 15 – Bright’s Grove serves the airport:
       
    • Daytime: 7 days a week
    • Evenings: Monday to Saturday
  • Transit schedules may not match bus or flight times. Plan accordingly. Routes and schedules are available at www.sarnia.ca/TransitRoutes.    
  • Private transportation options are also available (i.e. taxis, rideshare services, etc.).

Is the motorcoach accessible?

Yes. All Landline motorcoaches are wheelchair accessible and include a motorized wheelchair lift and accessible seating.

A Landline agent will escort you to the motorcoach at Pole P6.
